There is almost always a trip being planned, and we would love to have you participate.
We make at least one medical trip per year. We have had many doctors, nurses, and EMTs from all over the United States participate in these missions and welcome all who would like to share their knowledge and expertise with the Honduran people.
Construction missions have always played an important role in our work as well. We have assisted in building, painting, stuccoing, and any other projects they are willing to teach us.
In addition, we have taken various youth groups and students from Summit High School on several occasions.
The most exciting aspect of any trip is the interaction with the Honduran people. We have participated in festivals, shared authentic Honduran meals, done numerous art projects with children, lost several soccer matches and shared laughter and hugs. We have experienced first hand that we have so much more in common with these people than differences, and we are all the richer for the experience.
100% of the funds raised go directly to the people of Honduras. All traveling expenses are paid by the individual or group participating in the mission.
We have an annual Fall Capital Campaign which raises the majority of the funds we use on the projects we participate in.
We also have an annual summer bake and craft sale held at St. John the Baptist Episcopal Church every July.
